You’ll notice things look a little different at the shop, too! We block the door with some pretty plants to keep a little distance between us all and you’ll also notice ourselves and our neighbors have boarded up our windows! This is to protect these spaces during this time, but we didn’t let that keep us from having a good time! Meet Abbie! Once a fellow flower lover, now a flower friend! We hired her to paint a mural on our boards to tell you all just how we feel: “All Day Missing You!” Thank you, Abbie, for helping us convey this message so beautifully and accurately!
Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures! As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that has struck our city and country, we offered free no-contact delivery for the first week of the “stay home, stay safe” protocol introduced by Governor Kate Brown. After an overwhelming response from you all we returned to charging for delivery again (at a reduced rate) to cover the carbon offsets we purchase to offset the gas we use in our delivery vehicle! Next, we opened our online store to make it easier for our community to order no-contact delivery and pick-up! Following CDC recommendations, we consistently wear fresh, clean, cloth masks, we wash our hands and surfaces consistently, and sanitize before and after every delivery. We’ve been having fun finding creative ways to avoid touching the surfaces at your delivery locations like leaving them in your beautiful mailboxes!
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported not only us but all of our small local growers who have lost their wedding and event work during this time. Until the Multnomah County has been approved for reopening we will continue to follow these protocols and do everything we can to continue to support the farmers we love! Shout out to Leah at Indigo Gardens for letting us come down and poke around your beautiful fields so often, we wouldn’t be where we are today without you.
